Amanda Jones Lanier of LaFayette passed away Sunday, August 20, 2017.  Amanda was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, teacher, and friend. Even at the young age of 40, she lived her life to the fullest. She had a strong faith and love for Jesus Christ that shined through everything she did or said. She wanted to share her testimony with everyone she came in contact with. She wanted everyone to know the love and life they could have in Christ. From the very beginning, she said "this is not about me. Someone needs the Lord and if this is what it takes to get them there, I'm okay with that." She was so selfless. You could talk to her about anything and knew that she would listen or give you the best advice ever. You could be as open and honest with her as you wanted and know that she was still gonna love you anyway.

She is survived by her husband, Ray Lanier; sons, Sebastian Lanier and Carson Lanier; parents, Bob Jones and Kathy Jones; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Billy and Millie Oliver; sisters, Pam Jones, Tam (Jamie) Colbert, and Shea (Corey) Haggard; brothers, Bo (Sherrice)  Jones and Tim (Jennifer) Jones; sister-in-law, Ann Wallin and Tina (Frank) Goodwin; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
